Mukanya Kude - Acacia Xanthophloea
Mukanya Kude grows in swampy areas in southern and eastern Africa. It is a so-called "Ubaluwa" herb; an herb used to induce spiritual dreams. In these dreams, one might receive messages from their ancestors.
Use
Mukanya Kude is traditionally used by the Zulu people in their sacred drinks. One takes these drinks an hour before bedtime to help with spiritual dreams.
The Zulu used the bark in a decoction of several other dream herbs, but it can also be drunk on its own as a tea. Let it steep in hot water for about 5 minutes. Drink the tea one hour before bedtime.
Information on dosages is anecdotal at best; each person needs a different dosage.
